About the Festival
The festival began with Chris Faroe of The World is Not Flat, who, while on vacation from his year abroad in Oxford, pieced together a one-night showcase of SLC talent and visiting folk musicians. The event was such a success that the following year he and John Powell, (beloved founder of Angelica-Music), with much aid from their friends and peers, upgraded the location of the event and decided to add chili to the mix.
Last year, the festival drew over 200 audience members.
This year, the Organizing Committee would like to thank the Sarah Lawrence College Music Department for their support of the event.
